Hey folks i have been growing Cercis Siliquastrum from seeds since this spring and one of them started to act really weird.

It suddenly turns brown on the middle and one leaf is complete closed i can not open it. What causes this any idea?

I got some osage orange turning brown to. I think it's just hardening off.

Sometimes when a plant outgrows its root system, it spends a couple weeks investing in roots instead of foliage.
That's why some stall: it's searching for the edge of the pot and branching its roots to support a next flush of growth.

The brownish part is either a serious infection, but that would make the foliage droop quite fast so I don't think it's that.
Or it's bark thats forming. Which kind of makes sense if you think about the root-part, those waterways could use protection.

Foliage still strong so as you and Kullas said it's probably bark forming. Thank you so much
