So I dug out a JBP from the yard this spring in late March and did a lousy potting it up in a pot. I used 100% organic soil and the tie down was a total failure. Did some work afterwards to secure the tree but still not ideal. I have controlled watering carefully and the tree seems to be doing well. Not as strong as it had been when growing in the ground for sure but the new growth has been vigorous. I am planning for a fall repot with the APL but not sure when is a good time to do it. It has been over 90F for a over a month and the temp is finally going to drop to the high 80’s starting tomorrow. Here in north east Atlanta, we don’t get freeze until December usually. Is it Okay to repot in a couple of weeks so the roots have 3 months or so to grow and mature or should I wait until the high is in the 70’s to repot?
Thank you in advance!
