Hey y’all got this JBP seedling about a month and a half ago from Matt O. Was wondering if you guys could tell me what’s wrong with my pine…

I was inspecting it today and found this needle that is browning in the middle. At first I thought it might be fungicide but because it has no banding which makes me think it is something else.

I am watering it less frequently because I believe it’s a bit yellow from overwatering. I am also using a little bit of fertilizer to fix that just in case that is the issue.

Doesn’t look like an issue at this point.

btw Bonsaify has an excellent course one creating shohin black pine in case you are interested.
I’ve been using it to workon three of Matt’s trees for the past year.

Ah gotcha, I got worried the moment one of the needles turned brown. I'll go ahead and watch that thanks for the recommendation!
