Imperial Masterpiece
Half moon Gate with Wisteria was originally carved in 1857 by Utagawa Hiroshige, who may have been the most prolific and best known of the woodblock artists. This mint woodblock print was printed from the original re carved blocks in the mid to late 20th century. It is a much sought after print. The color saturation is excellent with excellent bleed though. The print measures about 14.5 x 9.5 inches. It is in a sealed plastic cover which protects the print but unfortunately makes it impossible to get a really good photograph.
