Japanese Larch cones

My Japanese Larch group has produced lots of cones for the first time this year. I think they are quite attractive , but but should I now remove them so that the tree doesnt waste energy?
I have recently repotted them into a bigger pot as they were getting root-bound.
Any advice would be much appreciated!

Nice tree...Mine always have 1 cone a year lol.

I would dfinitely thin them out as their development could sap energy from the rest of the tree. I think this was mentioend in Peter Warren’s YouTube video on larch.

My Forest did the same thing this spring (10 year old club misfits), put together spring 2021. My older European Larch does that once in while. Although it can be attractive to some…..I thin most out but leave a couple….. these trees are still in the development stage and I need vegetative growth to work with.
