Itoigawa juniper Stock

Maybe. But it’s staying for now for several reasons:
1. I like the reminder of the original stock I received from Brent.

2. It can only be removed once.
3. The tree could be a little too “vanilla” without a characteristic that is a little different, memorable, or even controversial.
4. The Jin extends from the soil all the way to the top on the back side, so it would be difficult to find an appropriate point to break it off. Traditionally, Jin that extends outside the profile of the foliage and sets a limit beyond which the foliage should not extend. Here is a shot of the back of the tree:
