hi everyone! I’m newer to Bonsais and trying to get inspiration on structure n shapes n diff styles. I have some beginner books that’ll help me learn and whatnot like Essential Book of Bonsai or Bonsai DK, but now I’m looking for a book that is strictly only bonsai images. Just to admire each image and get inspiration off of. Any advice would be great, thanks!

Try and find copies of Kokufu catalogues. Page after page of the best trees in Japan, all exceptionally well photographed and a nice large format… without the text.

+1 on the Kokufu books (eBay)…anything from #70 and higher will be plenty contemporary. Think this year is #100.
The USNBE books are good too, and so are these if you can find them.

My recommendation would be "Fine Bonsai" by Bill Valvanis. The entirety of the book was shot with a medium format camera which gives it a fine art feel.

Get Bonsai techniques 1 and 2 John Naka was an excellent sketch artist for tree images. There is also John Naka’s Sketchbook.
