Is this saprophytic fungi or something else?

I was repotting a Barbados Cherry today, and I noticed this clear/white looking stuff in parts of the soil. Is it mold, fungus, root aphids, or sand ? Nothing was moving so it didn't appear to be bugs, and I thought saprophytic fungi, was fuzzy looking. What do you think?




And don't say it's alien pods because I'm ripe for probing!

Are they gelatinous?
If not, it's probably quartz sand.

No, they weren't gelatinous. Quartz sand makes sense. What would be gelatinous, bugs?

Some plants can produce gelatinous structures to cover wounds inside the soil. But resin from water demineralization installations, or bug eggs can be too.
