Interesting Lowe's Finds

Found a couple trees I have not worked on before, but thought they could make decent bonsai subjects. Ended up spending maybe $15 a piece on them.

Anyway, first one is a dwarf burning bush and second is a dwarf bottlebrush.

Any tips on care and working on either of these? I'll probably just put them on the bench and let them be till next spring, but wanted to see what you guys thought.

I have impulse bought before….I then spend a lot of time on Google researching the tree itself as well as bonsai images of the tree if there are any.

I probably would have left them at the store.

So essentially this comment is a backwards way of telling me to just go Google it. While I've done that and already know basic care, I was looking more for a direct discussion with these trees as bonsai's and just other people's experience with them. I guess I don't understand the point of this forum based on your comment.

I don't always know how to take care of a particular plant but sometimes my impulse buys come around and I really end up liking the tree.

This is a hobby forum where people talk about how to raise plants and then how to shape them into one of 9 possible designs.
