I have a few fencing foils made for or by a classic Spanish fencing teacher. They aren't common, but in terms of antiquity, there's really nothing special about them except for the fact that they're associated with him. They're likely a few of a large batch made, but I treasure them.
Anyway... sometimes the sentiment we apply is worth more than what you might get on the market. The fact that it isn't valuable, monetarily, doesn't have any bearing on the value for the owner.
