I'm recovering from hip replacement surgery a week ago and while I'm allowed short walks around the house with a walker I'm forbidden to go down to my bonsai garden. Thank
God for my wonderful wife who brings my trees up to the house so I can try to keep up with Spring pinching. Here's a Kandy Kitchen maple from yesterday...

Don't forget about the trombosis medication and I hope you recover as fast as you would reasonably like to!

Wishing you a speedy recovery! Sounds like your wife is a keeper!

I really got to make a trip up there, Round Valley is a 4 - 5 hours drive from me. I picked up a few Shimpaku last year from my sensei who gets them wholesale from Ed, awesome material. If you don't mind me asking, what kind of prices would I be looking at for material like this from Ed? I realize his prices can be slightly high (I suppose this is subjective), but you get what you pay for in my experience.

Is Round Valley Nursery actually in Round Valley?
Looking at a topographical map one day I saw the oddity of Round Valley.
So we had to go see it.
Strange place.
Kinda eerie. Few cars. Almost none.
Looked like an Indian reservation.
Quite a trip but memorable.
