I don’t really like how they look so I guess I’ll try to move or remove them next time I’m repottingThe tree seems to be informal upright style. You can change it to anything you like if you cut enough off.
The tree doesn't care about circling roots so they are only a problem if you don't like the look or want to show it where others might not like the look.
If you want to change the roots you may be able to relocate some at repotting time if you are brave enough to properly bare root it. Some may need to be removed to allow others to be moved or to allow new roots to grow to replace them.
Almost anything can be changed given enough time, effort and experience.
