How to style 12 year old dwarf jade

I understand you. Cutting back to the yellow will create a nice shape and give me taper. I see why you would cut the red. I also see why it is necessary to wire the green upwards. When I first got it, and had no idea what i wanted to do, I started by wiring those green branches down to open it up a bit, and that is how they got that location lol. They don't wire as easy as a ficus, it takes a bit more time for them to heal. @sorce

I was also considering cutting that thick middle back trunk, and trying a double trunk style kinda like this. But I understand it would set me back a lot, and I would have to chop a big portion of the tree.

Page 2 always needs the tree!

It's good to understand you understand.....

In this pic....the back....you can Probly cut the wired branch off. For taper....and to negate any chance of that 3joint swelling.
And cuz even without that swelling at 3, it's still more pleasing to the eye IMO.
Like a fork in the road....I think humans enjoy 2 choices..but 3 is uncomfortable.

IMO f cutting it off completely.
If you can bend it left a bit, to compensate for the empty space created by cutting the wired one....that would be capitol.
But you can also grow a whole new branch there too.....

Of the back then as a front....
It is leaning towards you...it seems..a plus.
Your smaller trunks will be in the back, which adds to the illusion of depth. Plus.

As long as you see the need for taper, more thoroughly, the appropriate use of proper proportion when it comes to creating said taper....

You'll rock this thing.

And I see you get it. So rock on!

Maybe that left most branch could be brought back into the area of space created by the removal of the wired branch. ?

The left most branch in this picture of the rear correct? Bend it towards the front correct?

I like that you're a minimalist, it helps prevent me from my hacking lol. I love the idea of the back as the new front. I really have been wanting to cut that branch off. I decided to awkwardly wire it like that months ago in hopes I could find a place for it, but guess not.

Game plan: We are going to cut back the top to the yellow line, cut off the branch with the wire on it, then spin it around making the rear the new front. From there I will wire the left most branch in replace of the cut branch with wire on it, and then decide if I want to cut the branch labeled in red and wire the green branches upward. Deal?

One more thing, how do I find threads I previously started if I forgot the title of them? I want to make sure I can update them with all the improvements made. This jade needs to recover a bit from that pesticide shit before I start cutting back a bit. Plus it really needs a re-pot in the spring.

In with you except for the red one....
For the 3 forked road reason...

But if it can be mannipulated into the design....yes....I would use it. AT least for now.
Or maybe cut it back to an inch or2 stub....
But then Im back to cut it OFF!

It depends on its strength as a POTENTIAL PROBLEM....."keep it at bay" PPB!

You know it better than I.

"Finer branching" that's the pro quote that runs in my head.

Of search in a minute.
