How to root bald cypress cuttings

I was wondering how to root bald cypress cuttings. How old or how young a branch can be. I’ll be cutting off the lower branches of my cypress so I figure I might as well try and root them. But not sure when I can do this.

I would try both woody and softer growth, see what takes best. Since you plan on removing them anyways, I would take a couple now and half later when they're more woody.
I don't know anything about bald cypress, but this is usually my approach on striking cuttings. Then from there on forward, refine the technique for the best timing.
