How to branch selection - JWP

Hi!

Had this JWP for over a year, it is healthy enough. I forgot to turn the tree this year on the bench- the back side of the tree was against fence so did not get much sun…

Need some advice on selecting primary branches. How to go about it for pines and bonsai? And how to take this tree forward. Wire first or repot into better soil next spring?

Start by choosing the front based on the best base. Put the tree in front of a plain background and photograph it again, all sides, with the camera lens at or just above parallel to the rim of the pot. Post them up and we can give better guidance.
