With El Nino in full winter mode now, the central valley has had more rain in the last three months than we had in all of last year. With all that has come cool nights and warm days, and with that comes fall color. I have not had any since 2012. In fact last year was so mild I had tridents green all year and never lost leaves.

Here Al is, talking about the end of the worst drought in recent history, fires galore,,,,,,he finally gets rain, and all you see is the tree!

Now that's focus! Lol.

That is not how I read the post and it did not mention the drought, only getting some rain, cool nights, warm days, and that good fall color was the result. I was awestruck by the colidescope of colors on the maple, I don't get color like that down here. Get plenty of rain, maybe that is why I overlooked the point, "Oh great, it's raining again" is what we say here.

I am glad that they got some rain though, I visited LA earlier this year and it was sad to see everything brown. I think Al lives north of there...

Anyway, nice tree, and wonderful rain.

We even got a little rain over here on the coast - not drought ending or anything, but welcome nonetheless. I hope the valley continues to get it so the groundwater reserves can improve.

Oh, and great tree.

Dam. That's a Shallow pot!

The green that remains is Killing ME!
