First styling of this cypress. Hopefully get the top more trimmed but wanted to leave some growth on top to help recover from the styling.

Used some guide wire to help create another small limb on the left side.

I would go ahead and clear out crotch growth and remove foliage within the first portion of each branch up top. Leave more interior growth up top though, closer to the trunk than below. Opening light and air will help you for the future growth and wiring.

Thanks for the feedback.I will look at the areas you have mentioned.

This is my first attempt. The tag on the tree has it as Thoweil.
Nice. I like Thoweil, only have one, but I like its dark tighter foliage.
Next time remember these do not back bud on old brown wood, and remove foliage from outside in
rather than inside out, and bend the trunk 1st.

Yes I do like the darker foliage as well. Thanks for the pointers I will definitely do the way you mentioned if I do another one in the future. I was hoping to clean out area for the wire then was going to reduce the pads. Hopefully this tree won't mind the later spring wiring.

Trimmed the top back into more of triangle appearance. Also wired down the branches into more downward locations.

Repotted today, only reduced the root ball about 30%. Will let this recover well. Hopefully get some better growth in the new soil and bigger pot.
