Went to the US of A last June. As I expected, met nice people there, though when you are a tourist you don(t have much time to meet "real people".

I was with my girl-friend and a friend of hers, the latter a former police officer, sort of tight-up lady tat can't stand salt in pasta -can you imagine that ? !!! But I'm a nice guy .

But we did meet nice people (I'm the one with the fruit juice) :

We only saw I think 1% or even less of North America, but it was really ... -I don(t want to say "great" because that's what the the only word the fat little orange man knows.
It was wonderful. Spectacular. Breathyaking.

And contrary to the fat orange man, the people there were friendly, not rude, helpful, not aggressive, well, ordinary people...

It's not only because we were tourists bringing dollars : I mean, everywhere I went, I met nice people.

The question is : why do some of them put in power such crooks ? :D

I mean, no lessons to give you, the racist far-right is getting momentum here too, with the help of the christian cults.

I wish more of us will embrace a philosophy of universalism. REASON, not religion ! Which doesn't exclude empathy, who do those gurus think they are ?

Liberty, Equality, Faternity !

Glad you had a nice time. I've lived in N. America all my life and probably haven't seen 1% of it yet.

At the risk of being called "rude" or whatever, I continue to firmly believe that the only way for people to sort out issues is to engage with each other and try to understand the experiences of others. It's all fine and good to call the other side names, but at some point we need to reflect upon the side with which we affiliate and fix our own house.

Personally, I find it odd that anyone expects anything from politicians. They are politicians, not Mother Theresa. Is Macron better? How many governments must he go through as he clings desperately to power? France risks a financial meltdown and Macron is using the Middle East as a smokescreen (imagine that, Europe scapegoating a certain people once again????). Is Sanchez in Spain better? Scandal ridden loon. Maybe Starmer? Our world is run by a bunch of feckless morons, from all political spectrums. We the people put these crooks into office because we are uninformed and fickle.

As somehow who has been on the receiving end of incessant discrimination over the past 2 years, I can you tell you with absolute certainty that ALL of this hate is coming from the left. No, the right probably doesn't love me either, but hey they aren't marching in the streets to globalize the slaughter of my people.

And I believe the left embraces a form of religion itself. It is bereft of reason and science. It is nothing but dogma without God. Remember, if someone believes a man can't be a women the religion of the left will call them a "heretic" and "excommunicate" them. The left has all the hallmarks of a religion. In fact, logic and reason run contrary to notions of "intersectionality" and the mob mentality of the left. I'm always ready to be proven wrong and look forward to reasoned debate. The left, however, is a religion and therefore categorically incapable of reasoned discussion. The left only knows name calling, shunning and the mob mentality.

I am grateful to Christianity for the rights and civil liberties afforded to me. Only Christian values as expressed by our Founding Fathers were capable of acknowledging universal rights granted by God and affording them to all US citizens. Without what you refer to as "Christian cults" I would not be afforded even basic human rights. It is only the Godless, far left that insists that I deny my heritage and history in the name of some obscure notion of "universalism". But if one is so confident in his ability to call out over 3 billion Christian people as members of a "cult", would it be so "rude" for one to question that infinitesimally small "cult" of transgenderism? It appears to me that what is marketed by the left as calls for "universalism" is anything but. Only religious hubris allows someone to be so not self aware and so immune from self reflection.

In all honesty, I believe that what you describe is a fancy way of stating that we should all abandon our identities in the name of Liberty, Equality, Faternity (but of course the far left identities never need to be abandoned - no, they are to be celebrated). For example, if the French want to abandon their French identity, their history and culture, you will not have universalism. You will simply lose what you know as France and those that actually value their identities will redefine the identity of France. If you don't value and preserve your heritage, you simply will not pass that along to your children. So no I don't understand how the left can engage in incessant identity politics while at the same time brainwashing us that identities that do not bow to the left must be abandoned.
