HELP: Kingsville Boxwood Is dying?

Hello,
I received this bonsai tree as a graduation gift and, when I left for college and left it at home with my family it started yellowing and lots of the leaves of shriveled up and dry. I have no idea what to do but I really want this tree to survive. I think I have been overwatering it and I’ve stopped for now and at my dorm I have been leaving it on my window still with the window open because there’s no where for me to keep it outside. Please help me figure how what to do.

Looks to me like it didn't have enough water or it got to much late afternoon sunlight cooking the newer growth. Ether one or combination of both.

It's going to be tough keeping it alive in a dorm.

Read up on boxwoods and how to care for them.

If it is possible, I would suggest removing the wire on it, taking it out of its pot and putting it in the ground. Let it grow in the ground until you can give it the proper care.

I agree with Saddler, find a place to plant it in the ground and leave it alone for 4-5 years except for some annual pruning of crown and roots. When you get back to it you will have a much better tree to work with and it may still be alive, which it won’t be in a dorm room!
