My mother-in-law gave me this ivy starter in 2001 for Valentine's Day. Originally, it was a triple trunk, but one of the trunks died off several years later. Over time, it has evolved into this form: a pretty heavily trunked tree.
This is one of those trees that, though I feed it regularly, doesn't get that much attention. Since the original potting in 2001, I've repotted it twice--about every 6.5 years. I cut it back several times a year. Occasionally, I cut it back really hard.
Otherwise, I just enjoy it, as I hope you do.
