Ironically, this time each summer I move out of the house for a couple month to take a job away from home. My daughters grew up waving good-bye to Dad on Father's day. Happened again today even though my daughter is twenty-five.

Mine told me while having breakfast w/ my Dad that I was taking her fishing, it was a good day for me, hope you all had a great one as well.

This year, while on my Father's boat, my daughter wanted to start her birding life-list with us. She got off to a good start with some herons and waterfowl.

I'm 57 and I am still amazed with monster poop!
No bonsai this year. Instead my son took me to the shooting range where we tried out a few different pistols to see what they had to offer. Before that we had lunch at a Brazilian restaurant. Food was fantastic. All in all it was pretty enjoyable day that I'm sure I'll remember for some time.

I had so much fun, I didn't check the web site for 24 hours 
Actually, aside from my wife and kids making me breakfast, we sat around all day by the pool. BBQ in the PM while the kids took turns trying to do running jumps on to an inflatable turtle floaty. Life is good

My 8 yo daughter made me two greeting cards with wonderful artwork (probably better than some middle school kids can make). She also had her mom help her bake me some meringue "sandwich:. Tastes great but I am not too much into sweets but have to eat some 
Apparently, she was also bugging my wife to get me a grill tong and cleaning set but my wife knows I won't use it so she refused. My little darling sure made a lot of effort to make the weekend special for me. Did I say how many times she hugged and kissed me the entire time? Probably 20 times which is about 5 times more than usual.
My elder kids treated us to dinner though they don't make much yet. I insisted to pay but I was sternly told no. LOL We frequent this restaurant but somehow, the food tasted better that day.
All in all it was a wonderful weekend.
