Growroom Tropicals fertilizing over winter

Brought my tropicals inside the grow room for the winter about a month ago because I live in Canada.. At the same I cleaned the top layer of soil and the leftover biogold I had from the growing season . How should I go about fertilizing these plants for the winter ? On hand I have to some Biogold original and Algoflash liquid fertilizer 4–6-6.

I had biogold on my ficus, but ended up swapping to osmocote, the fungus gnats just got to be too much with the biogold

The majority of people bringing ficus in for the winter and just interested in wintering them until they can go back out. I keep my ficus plants actively growing all winter. In fact, I have several tropicals that have never seen a ray of sun. This requires warmth, 12 to 14 hours a day under grow lights, and liquid fertilizer. But they are tough plants and you can slow them down to a state of near dormancy by limiting all of these things.

it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to ease up on the fertilizer if you were going to have them just in a window and kind of in an almost-dormant mode through the winter. I've got mine in the spare bedroom with a pretty powerful grow light so it can keep growing throughout the time it is inside.

water - light - heat go hand in hand for tropicals. If you increase one, you should increase all. And if you offer 20+C with lots of light and water, you need fertilizer.

I keep my tropicals in a cold room (14c or so) in a windowsill. Hardly any water nor fertilizer till they move out again. In winter they mostly stay still.
The few that live in the living room do not get additional light and often I prune back in spring to get them with tight internodes.

I got my little grow room setup going at 23c and 70% humidity . Two 150W lights about 24 inches from the plants , on 14H a day . From the feedback I read here I think I'm good the fertilize this winter.

I only have a few tropical and they are under lights. They are actively growing all winter and so I fertilize
