Hello!

I got this 2 head LED grow light for my Fukien Tea.

I'm getting a maximum of 6,000 lx at one inch distance, and around 1,000+ on the lowest leaf on the tree (measured with a phone app, not sure how accurate it that is).

There's 3 light settings:

-Blue + Red + White
-Blue + Red
-Warm White

I would really appreciate it if someone could give me advice on which mode to use.

Could this be a substitute for actual sunlight?
I was thinking I'd give the tree natural sunlight once a week, and 12h timer with this grow lamp the rest of the days.

Thank you for reading!

I would use all colors at the same time.
Is it a substitute? Absolutely not. The amount of lx the sun puts out on a grey day is higher than this light.

Either go with sunlight, or artificial. Because the plant will adapt and if it keeps getting shocked by the sun, it will cause issues. Under lower light conditions plant tend to make more chlorofyll per surface area, to compensate. If you'd blast it with sunlight, it will reduce the amount of chlorofyll again, or overload it with energy which destroys it.
Stable conditions are best :-)

Thank you for your reply!

I think I will stick with the artificial light for 12hrs a day using all the lights and see how it reacts to it. It does seem bright.
