Has anybody had any luck with these boxwoods? My box store has some on end of season special. The ones they left have single trunks approx 1 1/2". Thinking about grabbing one.
Boxwoods have brittle wood, so bending is harder, but it's it's a plant, cheap and if u need to learn, go for it.Has anybody had any luck with these boxwoods? My box store has some on end of season special. The ones they left have single trunks approx 1 1/2". Thinking about grabbing one.
Clip and grow.Is there a boxwood 101 somewhere out there?I have one that I've been messing with for a few years and I don't know what I'm doing or what to do with it! It's still in a planter pot, but I've been shortening the root ball. I'll post some photos later, but I was wondering if there's a boxwood primer somewhere.
May I ask why you say clip and grow? I wire mine every year, just like all my other trees.Clip and grow.
I don't know all boxwoods, but the branches are more brittle then other species, so it's more safe to clip and grow. Nigel Saunders clip and grows everything, especially boxwoods.May I ask why you say clip and grow? I wire mine every year, just like all my other treesAaron
I can definitely understand not trying to bend big boxwood branches because of their brittlness, but young fresh growth can get kinda wild.
