This is another great tree I bought at Lone Pine Gardens in Sebastopol, CA. This atlas cedar has a 2" trunk and stands about 18" tall. I wish I had a before picture, but just imagine it about 12" taller with a few more branches. I have been eyeing this tree for about a year, and decided to have a little fun. It only took me an hour or so to finish, mainly because I already had a good picture of what I wanted it to be in my head. There is great movement in the trunk, but I believe it was grafted long ago due to the funky bulges near the base. Any thoughts/critiques?

It was fun to style, but I decided to give this one up to the eBay gods in order to fund my trip to the "GSBF Mammoth Fundraiser Auction and Sale" later this month, and a new tree for my upcoming Ryan Neil workshop.

Has anyone ever told you that you are a great salesman. What a promoter! I have already checked this tree out.

Yup, same container and soil. I would love to transplant it into a better pot, but the species is finicky with potting and prefers a much later, warmer time of year. I also dislike selling anything that I recently potted for fear of the stress of transplanting, shipping, and adapting to a radically different climate being too much for the tree. I'm not a nursery or a big name in selling as I do it mostly to fund my personal hobby, but I don't want to have anything die because of my carelessness.

Is the shipping calculator on the listing quoting an expensive shipping fee? It should be around $20 for midwest, and $30 for east coast...

Thanks Ron! Well, I did just sell a little suiseki last week for $51 to which my girlfriend said "Only you could sell a rock for fifty bucks." I'm honestly not sure if it's a good thing...

It's nice to know that you think of the tree's health first and foremost. :) Props for that!
If that's a graft, it looks really well done...
