Grape Vine Training.

[Yankee Dog]

This grape vine of unknown variety was not producing up to standard. But I decided to give it another chance as a bonsai. I’m thinking of shortening the right side a bit and curving it down and around the front. I’ll shorten the left to just below the thick spot but otherwise leave it in position.

Comments and criticism please. I’m sort of new to this bonsai thing. I’m in N Alabama zone 7b. Things are starting to pop around here.

Well. Here’s what it looks like a few months later. I’m doing a little bending. But mostly letting the roots reestablish.
