Is this doable? Makes sense if its possible. Just want to know before i bother digging these monsters up. Also if anyone has some Satsuki cuttings id be happy to purchase some for this project. Thanks

Cool thread idea. I too would be interested as there are plenty of rhodos at work with decent trunks.
If no- one gives a definitive answer then I will try in a few months for our benefit.
My guess is “yes” and Azaleas are Rhododendron indicum (spp?), and Rhodos have many species. Only problem is the compatibility between species.
