Found this twisted trunk Pinoak while collecting today,, it didn’t even have a taproot and I was able to get more fine roots then I could ask for !! My goal is to let it pop down low and take all of the top out

I’m Leaving the elbow leafs on until it starts good lower growth and then ill remove them.
I’m only keeping about 12in of trunk above curve,, that’s where I need it to pop at.

A couple of good size rocks in the root ball and I think that’s why it didn’t have a strong Tap root but no Boulders at all ,,it was growing beside a large Elm in a area that is being developed ( all the land looks like it had been cleared before )
There isn’t one tree taller than 10 foot out there .
