so I thought it would be a good idea, with absolutely no idea what I am doing to try to de foliate and trim my woody bits! I’m hoping I haven’t just killed it, but do you think I need to do anymore? I’m struggling with the woody bits! My aim is to just have a thick bushy tree but I have very straight woody bits without nodes (to my limited knowledge!) was wondering if anyone could highlight further trimming needed or should I just leave the poor guy alone!? Would love to learn how to take care of him, I just don’t know how to :-/ and advice would be amazing! image.jpg

Maybe let it grow out a bit and regain health first? Key is lots of sunshine and adequate water. If it were mine, I would leave it in bright sunshine outside or in the sunniest window, wait for it to grow strongly, and then repot it in porous bonsai soil, wait for it to start growing again, and only then start developing branch structure.
