Is this the result of fungus. A lot of my trees have some this year. It’s been a wet summer in Massachusetts. The red color is a bit odd the time of year.

Showing a couple possible symptoms, possible insect damage on one leaf, possible rust or something else on a couple other other leaves and maybe physical damage on one. How about taking some images of the leaf bottoms?

Didn’t say environment other than rain. Morning sun, afternoon shade. Try to keep tree dry. If wish to spray, two things come to mind. 50/50 3% Hydrogen Peroxide/water. Also copper would be ok. Tops and bottoms of the leaves, then let dry. (Please shake product well before using)

Please only water the media, keep foliage dry. If one must water the foliage, please ensure it can thoroughly dry before sunset.

Cheers
