Hey guys, this is my Fukien tea that I’ve been growing for about 3 years now. I just had my first repot into a pond basket to try to get more vigorous growth (the trunk specifically). I repotted it 11 days ago and she’s struggling to rebound still. She’s very wilted and some yellowing. I’ve read that it can take 2-4 weeks for it to rebound and that I should be patient but it’s hard when she just seems to be declining! Here’s a pic, if anyone has experience repotting these drama queens and has any advice/ seen them bounce back that would be great!

When I repotted mine last year it looked much worse than this initially so was expecting worse than pictured but it did rebound back after a month. Is this tree inside? I keep Mine outside as much as possible as it does horrible indoors for me. This past winter lost all its leaves but did come back and is healthy now. Might use chop stick to know when to water to not overwater as it could drop leaves before full recovery.

I have it in super well draining soil that dries out in less than a day. It is inside under a grow light that it’s been thriving under all winter here in zone 4. The weather is finally getting to a point where I could leave it outside but I don’t have much sun in the house where I’m living right now so not sure if I should just keep her inside instead of outside in the shade. Good to hear that yours bounced back! That’s very encouraging

Thanks!

Outside is always better than inside. If temps are staying above 50

I have posted pictures of mine several times now. It is from a cutting I took about 6 to 8 years ago and has been under fluorescent lights the entire time. It is a messy plant but has never given me any problems inside. Most of my tropicals are outside for the summer, except this group of 5 plants under this light. All 5 of these plants were started from cuttings and never seen daylight. There are pictures on here somewhere showing all 5 plants.
