Hello!
I was gifted my very first bonsai tree a couple days ago, it is a Fukien Tea tree that is 6 years old. As soon as my boyfriend and I opened the well-packaged tree we noticed the dry, dark green leaves. All of them wilting away. I watered it immediately when I got home as it was shipped from California to North Carolina. I had figured the long, cold trip caused the wilting. My tree is currently in my bathroom where I have it warmed up next to a window facing the west. I read up that by scratching a bit of the tree trunk and seeing green you can rest assured that the tree is alive. I did so and was relieved to see a lush green near the trunk of the tree. Moreover, today I decided to check the top area of the tree where the branches are looking a bit sadder and found that the further up I went the darker the color got eventually turning to brown. I would greatly appreciate any information given to me on how to save this little guy! Thank you!!!
