Cool, Dick. Thanks for sharing. That's when Land Rovers were cool because they were useful, whereas now they're fashionable but useless.

I'll take one! :) It would do well out here in the mountains.

Looks like the manufacturer screwed up when they made it. It seems to have a full sized extra wheel and tire on the hood. I thought all cars came with a plastic wheel and a wheelbarrow tire in the trunk.....

Here's my yamadori collecting machine. image.jpg 1991 BJ74 land cruiser 3.4l turbo Diesel engine full locking differentials front and rear. Pretty similar rigs really, of course the land rover would be left whimpering at the bottom of climbs that the cruiser saunters up  but still similar. The photo is 2 days ago, you'd think it was a yamadori scouting mission but we were after a different mountain treasure. image.jpg
10 lbs of fresh mountain huckleberries, please excuse my purple teeth.

Nice. And I thought your partner there is the driver. ;)

I will probably get me one of those if gasoline prices are not too expensive. (I know we have it much cheaper here but still, I have to complain over something.) :p LOL

Just because you live in CA. :p

(runs for cover)

It's only a 4 cylinder diesel, very fuel efficient actually. Could even be converted to run on used vegi oil from restaurants, that would be pretty sweet.

Those old Land Series were awesome cars Dick! The only 'useful' one now is the Defender. They are few and far between, but man, awesome. Love yours too Dario!

I have a monster, a 1993 Ford full size Bronco, 6" suspension lift, 34" mudders, and an ARB air locker for the rear. I can go practically anywhere with this truck as long as the trails large enough. Oh, I get a whopping 9mpg lol

My dream is to get an original Bronco, or a Toyota FJ4 I'd be in heaven with either of these.
And now, if there was just anywhere to go collecting in S. IL LOL

Fore,

That is not mine but I too would like an FJ Cruiser. My in-laws are here and I am driving their 2006 Toyota Tundra...it is a BEAST and though it is 7 years old...it only have (less than) 8,000 miles on it.

Firstoff, sorry I called you Poink...I keep getting you and Paradox (don't know first name) mixed up..DOH!

Well, you're going to need to save to afford a FJ, or even an early Bronco. Really spendy! ;)

Here's one still on the road, left hand drive even. The old guy driving it looks like he could be the original owner too, cool! I was reminder of this thread and thought I better pull over and snap a pic. image.jpg
