Flowering apricot pre-bonsai problem, is this shot hole disease, aka, Corinthian blythe?

I've noticed some issues with the leaves on my young flowering apricot pre-bonsai. From my research it looks like it might have shot hole disease. Was hoping someone could look at the photos below and confirm that, or suggest a different issue.

I've been pulling off leaves like the attached. How many of them should I pull? It sounds like I should wait to use a fungicide until the leaves harden? Would love any advice.

The pattern doesn’t look right for shothole, I’m used to seeing more even lesion pattern across the leaves, and very round holes, not irregularly shaped divots.

Looks like insect feeding damage more than a disease.

What region are you located in?
