Morning everybody,

I am starting a thread to keep track of my first pine. This is some sort of a dwarf mugo pine, not sure of the specific cultivar.

Some info.
I got this from Plant City Bonsai in early summer. Repotted it mid summer. Wired it yesterday to open the inside up to get light and thus backbuds and to set a basic structure. Very difficult to wire as It's only a meer 5" from the pot rim to tip of crown.

Before, ready for work:

During repot:

After repot:

And today after first wiring and setting branch structure:

That paper is covering a branch that needs to be removed and actually is black. Im not sure why it looks purple.

And a lighter for scale.

Needs some more tweaking but for now Im going to let it recover.

Comments are welcome!

Dont judge the wiring, its very small and I had a hard time doing it with not so small hands. I dont normally use guage 18 and 20 very often.

Nice little buddy!

You should use it to come aboard the mugo train, tons of mugo's nuts will be there to comments (including Vance Wood, the mugo's Jedi Master :) )

Yup its on there already. Vance is the one that guided me through it.

Nice little tree. Just got these two.
