So after attacking the Ficus I purchased earlier this week I managed to untangle the individuals from themselves and the tiny pot they were battling over.
I had no idea how many were in there, apparently 3. And no idea which one I am keeping for some bonsai experiments
Yeah might do something completely different with each of them and see which one I like the best further down the road. I got this size on purpose so they are bendable.

I think the one on the right is the most bendable as it's the thinnest trunk from what I can tell. Have fun with them, see how they grow and if you don't want them all, keep your favorite after a couple of years and sell/give away the others
They are all a benjamini cultivar so be aware that they are easy to bend but if you bend branches below the horizontal plane you may lose them. (branches that is)

I rescued a little ficus from HD recently and decided to repot immediately. It was in a gross deep orange pot and when I took it out I realized why. It had those big tuberous roots also. I wasn't sure it would survive the repot after I whacked them off, since there very few fine roots but it sailed through it.
