Always nice to see good examples of true firs in training. Do you plan to lime sulfur annually as we see on junipers?
@Walter Pall I love your work and appreciate you taking the time to post these trees. One of the few things that you could add that would be really helpful for someone like me is dating your pictures. Even just the year and the season to see what can be accomplished in a certain amount of time. I only suggest this because I want to know what is possible. I’ll never be as good as I can if I don’t know what the best is capable of. I see what you are doing and wonder how much time I am wasting not pushing myself and my trees that much harder.
On the other hand, I get that you have a lot of trees and looking up dates is time consuming. I do love that you spend the time to post them regardless.
Thank you. If they can be found in your gallery I will. I have looked at your gallery many times, I have never noticed the dates there, in my defence, I am a little distracted with the trees when I go to your site ha. Knowing where to look when I want to see the when is more then enough. Thank you.Every picture is clearly dated in the original file. Everything that I show here is also shown in my gallery: http://walter-pall.de/
The filenames of the pictures contain the date and everyone can easily see it. It works on my gallery and on most forums. it does not work here as you do not see my file names.
I show hundreds of pictures almost every week. I don't have the time nor will to put an extra date on them. If you are interested see it on my gallery.
Ha! Thank you. I owe you a beer for making my life that much easier.
Such a very nice transformation! The fir was cut back considerably and appears slightly bitten now. In one ear it will shine in full glory again.View attachment 203332
