From the nursery.
December ‘21 removed middle trunks.
January ‘22 repotted into smaller plastic container. By April ‘22 things were looking good.
December ‘22. Decent root growth. They mostly filled the new pot.
March ‘23: Repot into ceramic pot.
Tree responded well. Here it is the following May. Substrate is 80:20 pumice:bark
February 8, 2024 Ramification is coming along. Some areas need catching up.
Buds are swelling.

Reduced bud clusters/small branch junctions from 3 to 2 in some places
Repot into shallow, glazed, dark blue container. It will contrast the red foliage in Fall.
Some light wiring. .
Substrate is 50/50 Douglas-fir bark and pumice. 1 cm layer of bark added to surface for moisture retention.
