This little gal was one of my most (and most nicely) photographed trees in the days before I came to BNut. I've got a bunch of old photos of her on my other computer - I'll try to post a few when I can, but she used to have a more lush and obvious beauty as a cascade, and many folks might find this photo of what remains in old age a bit of a let down.

She has a certain dignity now, though, a composure forged by a life well-lived. I still find her appealing, with her tastefully understated display of flowers harkening back to her glory days, when she would get dressed up and go dancing with the nice young men at that club down on Fifth Street, swaying to the sound of Nat King Cole crooning Hoagy Carmichael's "Stardust" on old 45s. Of course, that was before she settled down with Fred, her late husband, and a wonderful man, with whom she raised their three children. They're good kids, and turned out well, and they each call her every Sunday.

For size reference, the pot is 4" tall. Enjoy.
