Either of these pots fit this tree

I've seen a few pileated's in the wild, but not as many as I'd like.

I'll work on a photo of the rosemary.

They are an amazing bird...we know where their nest is as well... :o So maybe some photos of their babies...or hope to.

Thanks...you said she's had it awhile...so I am excited to see it.

I find here there are so many song birds it is a bit annoying. 5am is bit early for me to hear the "music" as my Wife calls it. At the old place I did feed the hummingbirds but I let all else on their own. I had a peregrine falcon here a week ago and the silence was awesome :p Wish he would have stayed.

We have one that comes into our two way mirror window bird feeder. (Open window sash and it rests on the windowsill but for the most part is indoors) You would really wish to ring it's neck. Lol I love the sounds of nature...waterfall is running...and the birds are quite beautiful sounding...yes...I find it musical as well like your wife. Lol

Can I wait to repot...until next spring? See if I can winter it before buying a proper pot for it. So I don't have a pot as a reminder of my failure if I don't have success with it?

There is no worry to repot or not repot, it will do fine either way at this time of year... I really do not care what you may have read online it is in proper conditions for this time of year. There really is no need to repot in my opinion but that is because as with ANY new plant goal one is to keep it alive and growing a season before any work. I do understand sometimes one MUST like when it comes to you with glued on gravel or the pot is broken but that is not the case here. ;) "deep breath"...
