Going to take a field trip to the Central Valley area and wanted to drop by Ed's place. The number I got keeps ringing but no one answers. Does anybody have a good number to call him to see if he be open?

Part of the problem has been not having a public nursery. Ed has been rather selective in just letting people come to his house and browse. Working the conventions and such is his real bag and supplying material to other retailers in quantity is best. He has a real problem with the whole cherry picking retail deal. He would rather just truck 200 units to Brussels then sell one best tree. Hope that makes sense.

Finally got a hold of Linda first then Ed. His cell phone needs an update. I might have to fix it for him when we drop by. Such a nice couple to chat over the phone. Thanks for the heads up. Hey Smoke any other place you think I could stop by tomorrow?

Hey, half...

I've seen some pictures of the place that Smoke posted. Cool looking stuff. If he doesn't want you cherry picking, then buy a dozen of the kind you think you might like. Take them home, then pick the 2 or 3 "keepers", and sell the rest on the FaceBook auctions or eBay. I bet you could sell them for enough over your cost to pay for the keepers!

Free bonsai!

(Everything I know about business comes from watching my college roommate back in the '70s, get free weed. I didn't join him in that adventure. I was afraid of getting free room and board!)

But, ahem, cough, cough... I'm pretty sure reselling bonsai is legal!

Nothing around these parts. We have a small bonsai nursery here in Fresno with dry goods like pots and wire, chemicals and such. Lots of plant material but after Ed's this would not be in the same ball park. The drive between Ed's and Fresno is about 75 minutes depending on traffic.

I like this plan! (The one involving the LEGAL "trees")
Clueless, I have wanted to get my hands on a couple of his trees for a while now since Smoke posted some pics of thousands of twisted up Juniper and Pines... If you need someone to help you find the purchasing of multiples, I will offer to purchase at least a couple off ya... Just shoot me a message to let me know prices, email pics, whatever man... We can make it work. I have pay pal, and there are no issues shipping trees into my state! Holler at me if you are interested...
