Last year I attempted the ebihara method on 2 of my saplings. This one turned out better but not as good as I hoped. The roots are on one plane however all the roots are on one side (perhaps due to not pruning the tap root?). I circled where the nails were hammered in.
After some pruning this is what I’m left with. I tried spreading the roots as best as I could and used wire to keep the tree fixed to the board.
What do you guys think? Is it possible to get roots to grow on the other side?
