Drake's ficus natalensis

The tiny amount you would use in a pot will have a negligible effect on wildlife.
I thought the main reason systemics are banned in some States was flowering species being visited by bees and other beneficial insects. What other wildlife might be affected??

It's a matter of scale and bad-faith lobbying. The agricultural industry likes to pass the buck to private individual consumers, when individual consumers could not possibly use enough product to make a difference.

It's the same faulty reasoning behind the CAFE standards for car emissions. Joe Schmo driving to work is not releasing enough carbon dioxide to cause climate change. The real culprits are power plants, airlines, etc. If politicians honestly wanted to stop climate change they would all ditch their private jets and pressure the electrical industry to switch to a combination of nuclear, solar, and wind power. Even bio-diesel would be a huge improvement. Instead, the state charges poor and middle-class drivers for regular emissions testing because we can't afford to buy a Tesla (which is actually worse for the environment than a conventional internal combustion engine).
