So, May 2014, me and my ex split up and all of my plants were estranged from me. I just bought my house and moved in, in the beginning of December 2014. So it was about time I get my trees back. A user has said to me on here before; "I've never seen any of your creations." Well, have a look into my pre-finished backyard nursery as of today January 2015.

So from May until December your ex was caring for your bonsai? If so...that's an amazing ex. Wow...that's a lot of bonsai...how many in total?

She wasn't caring for them. I had an automatic watering sytem. We were renting a house together, my name is still on the lease so I kept my things there until I was able to move them out. That being said; I lost about 15 trees.

I haven't taken a head count. but the long bench is 40ft long x 6ft wide. The shohin display is 10ft by 3ft (I think). Plus I have 40 pedastals still in the works. Building more benches as well. Everything is crowded right now.

Nice Carp.

The benches.trees.and freedom!

Glad to see that you were able to get back your trees and get back into the swing.

Very nice. I like the watering system. I think I saw a couple of those pics on Facebook. You working on any new blog posts? :D

That is a large number of trees! Now we just need detail shots of EACH tree with lengthy descriptions of how long you had it and what you did to it... Then we might believe you! JK

Quite a set up! You planning to leave the ground cover as is, or are you adding stone/ sand ground cover at some point?

You must have an understanding landlord to let you completely redo the yard like that! Seems like quite a transformation!

I am the landlord. I'm 22yro but I bought the house. I may get ground cover down eventually but I don't really care about the visual.

@KennedyMarx; you've been seeing pics on Facebook of everything coming together. About 80% of the way there. I will be starting a new blog, still building it right now, but once I'm done I'll put up an introductory post.

Wow nice set up
You need a greenhouse.

1. Did she get visitation?
2. If not, she is paying child support,..correct?

@amcoffeegirl; I have three guns. And kudos to the person who manages to move the display trees without my awareness; especially the Philipensis.

Also, as far as a greenhouse is concerned...I'm in Zone 9B. Our average extreme low temperature range is between 25-30°F. Last year I saw 28°F literally once and below 32°F a maximum of five times, I don't remember. I'll be using thermal clothe. The stuff I have have gives an +8°F advantage.

I don't know if you noticed, but my sprinkler's have a valve near the ground and the pipe continues up towards the sprinkler head. Ground water in my area of Florida is between 72°-77°F. Having the thermal clothe over the plants and the water on the ground beneath them; I shouldn't see a problem in a Florida freeze. Thankfully; I don't have a water bill.

@Bunjeh; I don't understand if you're making a joke about the trees being my children, or if you think I have children? Either way, I do not have children, and my ex is not a face I'd like to see again. She's been replaced already. The curvy, dark haired, chica is mine and the ginger is my roommates. They look classy with this photo filter.
