i was visiting jelle to pick up a tree and while looking at some of jelles trees he suddenly asks if i already owned a prunus mahaleb
i responded by saying i didnt and then he offers me to take this one with me if i wanted so i quickly responded by saying that i was not gonna say no on a free tree!
thanks allot jelle really apriciated !

History of the tree:
the tree was chopped and airlayered and only rooted on one side so one side of the trunk died and has no roots .
its famous because jelle has it in a video on his youtube channel :P

this are some pictures of how the tree looks after ariving back at my place
it came with a cool funghi growing on the dead trunk and allot of moss so i think thats the first thing to do for this one a clean up to see what is actualy still alive and what not.

Leave the mushroom! :)
yeah i will leave it for now i searched on google but couldnt indentify it yet.
i assume it just lives on the dead tissue so im not to worried that it will harm the tree

The mushroom could be this one - Schizophyllum commune.

I am guessing looking on the underside at the gills can confim this.

looks similar yes, thankyou for this info :)
and after googling some more it looks like this is it...
and found this:
Schizophyllum commune is a sap-rot basidiomycete and cosmopolitan species. The fungus is also recognized as a plant pathogen that causes wood rot on living trees, and many plant species including fruit and ornamental trees have been recorded as hosts
so it might also decay the living tissue if thats truely the case it might have to go ....
