Hi,

Can someone tell me if anything is wrong with this dawn redwood starter? It was droopy but it seems to be coming along. Is the brown just dead leafset?

Looks like the plant had some kind of shock that killed off foliage and new shoots have replaced it.

In your opinion can I cut off the brown stuff and see what happens? Thanks

The brown is dead. You can cut it off
