Can anyone help me identify the issue with my Dawn Redwood? It was windy and rainy last night but temps weren’t below 40 F. Didn’t notice this issue until this morning.

if you zoom in on the top of the tree you can see some of the foliage withering. Not sure exactly what would have caused this.

Gusts maybe as high as 30.

Tender growth can easily be damaged by environmental or other causes. The tree looks fine from what I can tell by the picture. Unless there is something going on not seen, there is no reason for a knee jerk response.

Wind damage. Dry air blew through here too. Low humidity combined with wind can dry out new foliage.

We had 70 mph gusts. I put my trees out of the wind or I would have had airborne pots.
