I grabbed a few smaller olives from Cen Cal bonsai recently, most of which were short stubby ones with some nice deadwood for shohins, but also this long lanky one for cheap that I thought would be great for a mini raft with some interesting sections of trunk. Also my first time keeping olives, but trying out a few different approaches for this winter. This one in particular is going into the grow tent with the tropicals. A bit sloppy with the repot, I probably should have blocked off the sides of the container so it doesn't stay too wet, but it's already showing some growth in the last few weeks since it's been there.
I stripped off the bark on the bottom of a few sections and put some rooting hormone where it'd be nice to have some root growth, just going to leave it alone for now. Should have gotten some better photos but this is all I have for the time being.
