I was surprised to hear that a lot of people never heard of Danny Use, a true European bonsai legend. He's also my teacher for the last 4 years already.
TreeArt Bonsai recently made this video with him. Well worth waching.

Is he the legend that, before the internet and all somewhere in the 1970's, went to China to study bonsai.. And found out in China, that is was a Japanese art form?
I always find that a captivating story, because it's something that could have happened to me if it weren't for the internet.

Anyhow, in Mirai's latest podcast about books, Danny Use together with Teunis Jan Klein are the first mentioned on the list, I believe.
