This jade was a freebie from the neighbor last year. It was gifted to him from someone who couldn't care for it. He didn't want it, and kindly offered it to me. Naturally, I thanked him and brought it home. I shouldn't have, but I did.

It was in some typical potting soil, which had to be remedied. At the time I had nothing suitable to put it into, so I left it as is and firmly placed it on the "procrastinate" setting. It was/is top heavy and leggy. I just wasn't quite sure what I'd end up doing with it.
If it weren't for the squirrels, it very likely would've stayed on procrastinate until next year. They love digging up that potting soil, as it's so fluffly and organic. So much so that they've destabilized what roots were left and the plant is getting near falling out of the pot.

So I threw it into something that's a bit different. This pot had the best anchor points out of my few larger sized pots. It's in mostly pumice with some (<10%) bark.

I'm more satisfied than I anticipated. A fun potted plant. Much more manageable than before!
